Comments: No swim training for 2 months, relaxed for first 1/3, concentrated on good drafting. a few swims before hand would help, especially open water 1 hour swims so you can pace the last 400 metres What would you do differently?: swim before hand. Comments: 40th out of 358. fastest time was 34 seconds What would you do differently?: Keep it simple, dont add food or extra bits, have it all laid out. Bike
Comments: 7mins faster would put me in top 50 riders sky gel at 30mins, high five on the hour mark. 12 mins faster than last year. Bike, did not do much effort in Z3 What would you do differently?: do not have water, use electrolyte drink. have one full bottle then replace at aid station. Transition 2

Comments: put socks on. 1 gel at 12 km mark by aid station. tried to have 3 steady laps: held on first lap built on second lap last lap tough from 16km to 18km, had to dig deep. What would you do differently?: use road running shoes if dry as surface is quite hard. do some 20km runs before hand do some brick training Post race
Warm down: jump in river What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of swim training, lack of specific bricks need lots of short sharp runs. overall pacing was about right. 04:46:15 is top 20% placing. could gain 5 mins on swim. 5 on bike 5 on run.
