tried to keep it under 9:00/mi; was fine on the downhills and flats, but lost ground on the hills. Last 3 miles were all over 9/mi

What would you do differently?:

HR was high throughout, but wasn't totally gassed at the end.

Warm down:

walked, tried to find results
jelly donut, banana, 1/2 bagel, water

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of speedwork or race-specific training

Event comments:

started a few minute late
many volunteers on the course
not much happening after
awards were done fairly quickly; nice that they started with the 10k racers
