Swim
Comments: It should've been a good swim, the water was warm and I started in the 4th wave. I stayed on the edge and while that removed mefrom the washing machine, it may have lengthened it considerabley. Someone with extremely long toenails caught me on the cheek. It finally stopped bleeding sometime on the bike. What would you do differently?: sight better Transition 1
Comments: Better than last year, still trouble with my shoes. I hate that run up the hill. I yelled at the volunteer I didn't know this was an X Terra. What would you do differently?: Faster Bike
Comments: Had a brake rub at the start, so I flipped the lever wide open. I could've gone harder. Played tag with a girl on a p2SL for most of the ride. She nipped me in the last 500 yds. What would you do differently?: Pushed harder Transition 2
Comments: Stll slow. Trouble with socks. What would you do differently?: Pick up the pace, more urgency. Run
Comments: Hilly. Had to walk a little.but I wasn't thirsty. What would you do differently?: Tried to keep running and not walk Post race
Warm down: Drank some iced tea, took a shower What limited your ability to perform faster: I can't swim! Event comments: The race itself was fine for me. The volunteers were good and the cops actually stopped the traffic. Saw the race refs more this time, looking for drafters. Two girls went way off course on the swim. One was dq'd and the other went back and made the bouy she missed, but there did't seem to be enough boats out in the lake. I wish tribluesky would figure out their race software. And why can't they do the thank you's and the raffle while they're tabulating the results? Last updated: 2006-06-25 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:00, ate a breakfast bar and drank water. Infinit nutrition screwed up my order, so I never got my drink mix in time, and I wasn't going to switch to powerade, so I was sticking to water. Drove to the park, go there about 7am.
nothing to speak of, swam a little.
