Pre-race routine:

With all the rain, I couldn't set up my transition area in the normal manner. Ended up running transition from my duffel bag.
Event warmup:

Stretched and tried to stay warm in the cool weather. Ended up getting cold. Had to hide out in the locker room/bathroom to stay warm. Couldn't wait for swim to start because it was so cold.

Legs felt like weights with the water logged shoes and tired from the bike.

Next time I need to prep with more brick workouts. My legs were just tired this morning.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to prep more on swim and brick run workouts. These are my weak events.

Event comments:

Great swag for this event. Nice shirt and a purple workout towel that was worth the entry. Also, the ability to do an event on the Marine Corp base was very nice.

Well done event by the MCM organizers.
