Swim
Comments: Not a good swim for me but fun and funny. Greg G. started right behind me and caught up within two laps. We swam side by side one lap and I let him take the lead so I could draft (why not). It was so easy and every stroke I kept hitting him. It took a lot of will power to stay put and just draft because I felt he was going slow. But I knew at masters practice we swim the same pace. Little did I know he lost his goggles at the turn and was slowing down. If I hit his feet once, I hit them 100 times. You should hear his side of this story and how I kept climbing up his back side. What would you do differently?: Next year Greg and I should practice and plan on drafting. We could take turns and probably nail this swim. I was somewhat disappointed because I have been doing 400's at practice with a time of 5:30 to 6:00. So really thought I would complete this around 6:15. Transition 1
Comments: Greg got out of transition faster than I did. He sprinted to the transition while I jogged. What would you do differently?: Try to rack my bike on an end site. I had to deal with bike being tangled when unracked bike. Bike
Comments: Bike felt really good especially since it was a challenging hilly course. Had Greg in front of me as a rabbit so I tried to catch up or gain on him. Unfortunately got stuck in car traffic going up a hill and he was in front of the car, we were passing a couple of bikes and the car got behind a slow hill climber. Finally caught back up at the end. This may have been to my advantage because it was the hardest hill climb and I was still feeling good on the end of the ride climbs. Caught and passed a lot of riders at the end. Passed a lot of folks on the bike because it is a hilly course and I like to climb hills. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Again, struggled with the left foot into my running shoe. What would you do differently?: Need new elastic shoe laces and practice the shoe thing more Run
Comments: Felt great. Knew my training crew started behind me and were trying to run me down because they are all faster runners. No One caught me. Paul was telling me to "run the tangets". He knew they were trying to catch me because they kept asking people we know "how far is Kay in front of me". What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: walked What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing Event comments: Loved it. Will put this one on the calendar to do again next year. Last updated: 2013-05-27 12:00 AM

Drove to Bowling Green that morning. Ate two pieces of toast and one cup of coffee. Put my transition together and then walked every transition. Socialized until meeting time and then did swim warm up.
