Swim
Comments: The swim gods were on my side as the majority of swimmers stayed at the beach edge and it was basically me and one person at the starting bouy. No need to fight a bunch of people so I just settled into my pace and just swim in that hot ass water. Transition 1
Comments: All went well expect my race belt clip wasn't clipping in so I'm assuming 10seconds lost fing around with it. Other than that it went fine, just a long run. Bike
Comments: Incredible happy with this effort. Power was a solid 20watts higher than previous races. I have to download my data but near the end of the bike I was at NP=290watts. What would you do differently?: I'm over riding with the disc on my bike as it rubs and it's a pain in the ass getting on. I have an opportunity to buy a sram s80 rear for $375 and might pull the trigger as I already run the s80 front. Transition 2
Comments: Ran past my rack but that's all part of the game. Run
Comments: The nice part of being a later wave is having people running on the course to keep you mentally active during the run. I decided to run without a garmin and I like the mental freedom of just running but sometimes it's nice to have that "stick" to remind me to get my ass in gear. All in all it was a good not great run but it's always easier to write it post race. I do think the run was longer than last time I did it in 2010. Post race
Event comments: Larry and Michelle do their best to put on a great race and all in all it was a good race but things fall through the cracks. I found it funny then kept saying the NJ State award is only for NJ residence and then they give it to a pro athlete from Philly. Timing company SUCKED and even the day after I dont like the interface. Last updated: 2013-05-28 12:00 AM

Usual toast with almond butter, jelly and butter plus a banana. Only thing I did different for this race was taking endurolytes the day before and drinking water with it before the race.
Ran about a mile and then swam a about 5mins until I felt my arms were warmed up.
