Really struggled after no swimming the past 2-1/2 weeks due to bronchitis. The water was so cold, it was hard to catch my breath.

Practice getting the wetsuit off lol

Pretty pitiful time, but considering I have been so sick, I'll live with it. The grass and mud slowed me down as well.
What would you do differently?:

Definitely need to amp up the running now that I seem to be over this crud.

Warm down:

Walked through the booths, got our bikes out of transition and loaded them up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being sick for 2-1/2 weeks prior and not being able to train.

Event comments:

I would consider this one again, if it weren't for the trail running. Still might anyway. Seems like my age bracket was very tough - I thought I would have placed higher than I did with that time. Still enjoyed it and am glad to get #2 of the season out of the way.

Course: 100% Trail run which I HATE, so was not amused or comfortable with. Course was very muddy and chunked up, so was really worried about turning an ankle. Actually did see one guy go down.
