Swim
Comments: Felt like a great swim until I saw my time later. Started off drafting a couple of guys. Then after the first turn, the guys I was drafting took a wide angle towards the next buoy. I passed by them and went right at it instead and then never saw them again. What would you do differently?: Not sure - thought I was going to have better results than what I ended up with. Could probably have pushed a little harder the second loop. Transition 1
Comments: 4th fastest T1 Bike
Comments: Good ride. Passed a lot of people on the uphill stretch of each loop. What would you do differently?: Could have pushed a little harder. I kept thinking about saving a little for the run. Transition 2
Comments: 6th fastest T2 Run
Comments: Tried to pace myself better by starting a little slower. Did not negative split, but kept the second loop's pace closer to the first than usual. There were a few spots that I had to wait to make a pass due to the narrow paths. What would you do differently?: Need to push harder the last 2 miles. Giving in to tired legs too easily. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Same as always - slow swim. Event comments: I like this little race a lot (and it is growing - 111 Olympic racers this year versus about 70 last year). The post race food was great - twinkies and freshly made pancakes were included. Last updated: 2013-06-03 12:00 AM
