![]() Swim
Comments: I really think the race organizers need to rethink the swim course. Either ditch the male/female separation so that waves can be more easily balanced or provide an opportunity for swimmers to access the swim course so that they are familiar with the sighting of this particular course. Access to warm up is crucial. Providing an opportunity for the men and juniors, but not the women is an unfair advantage and discriminatory. ![]() Transition 1
![]() Bike
Comments: Loved the bike course! Fantastic speed. room to move. Just a ton of fun! What would you do differently?: I think I could have pushed harder. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: The centre lane in transition was blocked off for the sprinters but not the olympic distance athletes. It meant additional time to move around the racks. the centre lane should be kept open for both races allowing for smoother transitions. ![]() Run
Comments: I knew my run would be lacking. Having come off too many foot injuries it was going to be the weakest element. Overall not bad but I have work to do. ![]() Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: - Lack of warm up for the swim - congested swim course - changes to transition while on the bike course - poor run Event comments: The swim needs to be addressed. Waves need to change, separation of the sexes need to change, access to the swim course needs to change. Last updated: 2013-06-03 12:00 AM

unable to warm up. access to water was denied. Male athletes and junior elites were able to warm up but women's waves were pushed to the back of the pack and we were unable to gain access to the water.
