Pre-race routine:

Drank a bottle of water 90 minutes before the race and a few sips before the race. Used the men's room a few times and the ladies' room once.
Event warmup:

Did a short jog -- maybe a half-mile. Stretched the calves and the quads.

Comments:

I should've gotten water from the second water stop, which was at a juncture, but missed it the first time I went by it. I forgot my watch, which actually helped because I didn't know how fast I was going. I just followed people I knew were faster than me and once they were gone I would latch onto someone else. It worked -- I got a new PR.
What would you do differently?:

Get water at the second aid station.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a little. Had a couple of rolls, a banana, a bottle of water and a bottle of Gatorade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My short legs.

Event comments:

Good race but the timing official said it was a "cluster$#@%" for some reason.

Performance: Good
Course: It was mostly on a trail with a couple of stretches of roads and sidewalks around Lake Zorinsky in Omaha. The course was hilly and curvy -- not hilly like on the coasts but hilly for Omaha. Some areas of shade but mostly in the direct sun.
