Transition 1
Comments: Had a hard time with tunnel vision in T1, spent too much time getting into socks and shoes. Ran in bike shoes because the grass was so wet. What would you do differently?: Go without socks, buy triathlon shoes, take deep breaths to get oxygen into my head. Bike
Comments: Went too hard at the start and finish of the bike. Take it easy next time and save something for the run. Heart rate monitor did not work. Had a blast. What would you do differently?: Check heart rate and cadence sensors before race. Back off on the bike to save something for the run. Transition 2
Comments: I ran with my bike shoes on because the grass was still really wet. What would you do differently?: Try tri bike shoes so I can ride with my feet on top of the shoes, in the pedals. Run
Comments: I need to learn how to run. Make sure my HRM is working. What would you do differently?: Take is easier on the bike so I have some energy on the run. Train harder. Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of running training. Went too hard on the bike section. Event comments: Good start of the year race. Could have used better course markings or volunteers to help with bike course. No post race activities. Only one drink station for sprint, no need for more. Last updated: 2013-06-10 12:00 AM
