Swim
  • 36m 40s
  • 2112 meters
  • 01m 44s / 100 meters
Transition 1
  • 03m 46s
Comments:

It was a long way from the lake to the transition area. This time spent running was spit between the swim time and the T1 time since the chip mat was half way between the lake ant Transition. I didn't swim with my race top on this time so it got stuck as I tried to put it on...which took time. Average transition for a long course
Bike
  • 2h 34m
  • 56 miles
  • 21.82 mile/hr
Comments:

I spent most of the bike trying to load up on food and water. I was so full of water I was on the verge of puking the whole time. Maybe that prevented me from eating as much as I should have. I went though a gallon of water/Gatoradeon the bike. When the run started, I felt OK
Transition 2
  • 03m 10s
Comments:

pretty slow....I took a pee break in Transition. I just can't bring myself to piss down my own leg.
Run
  • 2h 12m 36s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 10m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

The first mile was 7:28! I didn't feel like I was going out that fast so I thought I could maintain a decent pace and the this long course monkey off my back. I really need to work on nutrition. This heat depleted me. My 7:28 mile turned in to 12min miles and an over 10min avg over the course. It was just a brutal day for this race.
What would you do differently?:

More long bricks...NUTRITION NUTRITION NUTRITION!!!

Course: The course is a 1 loop course. From shore it looked really long but I was use to seeing that distance broken up in 2 loops. There was some chop on the course and a few waves from passing boats. The wave groups were not big enough to use any sort of drafting so I think that had something to do with my slower time. All in all...average swim
