Pre-race routine:

Drive up to Grantham. Cup of coffee before I left house. Two slices of whole wheat bread with 1.5 tablespoons of pb. Got to transition and set up.

Swam about 1/2 of the course. Water was cold and choppy.

Water was choppy and I went out to fast in the scrum. Had a few people run into me and another person hit me swimming perpendicular to the shore.

Would learn to start better.

Warm down:

Chilled out with family. Came home and ran 6 miles later that afternoon.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Fatigue from HIM training.

Event comments:

LOVE this race. It was the first one we entered years ago and we always try to get back. This was the 4th race in 5 years that we have been doing tris. I hope to always do this race.
