Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:30 am. Had two eggs and ham on whole wheat for breaksfast. 20 minute drive to race site.

Need to build more stamina to keep HR under 155 for the entire run. Strategy of stopping for 30 sec - 1 min walks helped.
What would you do differently?:

Know the course better. There was an extra section at the end that I didn't expect.

Warm down:

Walked for a few minutes to cool down. Had some water and watermelon.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

HR was spiking too high during the run.

Event comments:

This was my first triathlon. I really enjoyed it, I just wish the swim wasn't cancelled.
