Event comments:

Awesome race! I would definitely do it again and would recommend it to others. Of course we had near perfect conditions but the organization, volunteers, course support, all of it was just terrific.

Course: James River. Cross current to first buoy, upriver to second, downriver on the long leg, then cross a pretty stiff current home. I was mentally prepared for worse so it wasn't bad

Course: AWESOME! It is just as described, off road, bike paths and a really pretty trail through the woods. I picked up the pace more than I should have for a "training event" for B2B next month but I felt good and I think the course made it easy to go fast. I don't know my exact time because apparently my chip didn't register out of T2 so I don't have a time for T2 or the run itself, only the finish. It was under 2 hours but without knowing my T2 time I don't know. And of course, my garmin didn't cooperate with the laps either.
