I did not get my breathing down until I was out of the crowd (last 100 yards).
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice with more intense breathing workouts.

My saddle broke as I mounted at the beginning and I had to ride the whole bike without a seat. I have not trained for this and it was painful and frustrating. Good thing is I had no stress of getting my goal time any longer and just looked at it as a challenge for which I will have a good story for the future. This allowed me to turn the event into a workout instead of a painfully intense race. Legs started cramping at 3 mile mark. I was not going to push through the cramps and take a chance of getting injured.

I really did not push the run that much because I did not want to get injured. I was cramping in the quads and calves from the bike and I did not want to pull anything so I took the run easy and just enjoyed that I was finishing a race that many would not have finished without a bike seat.

Not having a bike seat...

Overall I am happy that this happened in this race rather than IM. Someone even mentioned that to me on the bike. Get the bad karma out in these laid back fun races.
