Comments: Swimming still makes me anxious. Felt better than the previous event 12 days previous. Still have problems breathing in cold water. Need to work on overcoming the shock. Was finally able to get a little rhythm about half way. What would you do differently?: Swim better! Transition 1
Comments: Ripped the neck of my wetsuit trying to get it off.. Was not trying to quick to get on the bike. Was working on catching my breath from the swim. What would you do differently?: Need to work on the neck. Bike
Comments: 8 of my gears were out of commission. Could not go faster or make top speed easier because they were not available on my bike.. Very flat What would you do differently?: Would be nice to have a road bike. Transition 2
Comments: I could have been quicker here. I pushed myself on the bike to what I was capable of and felt it in my legs. First time I have had a hard time with the bike to run transition Run
Comments: One of my better runs for my current fitness . Had a hard time with the first mile was mostly walking. Last 1.5 miles was able to keep a constant run. Post race
Warm down: Walked around around and refueled. What limited your ability to perform faster: Swimming ability. Bike hard to keep aerodynamic on a hybrid bike. Was hard to start the run after the bike. Had Tri bag packed. Ate a normal breakfast Whole Grain Bread and Peanut Butter w/ Banana.
Stretched Arms and did some jogging in place. Did not have time to test the water as the Half-Iron and the Olympic triathletes were in the water and the docks were closed for incoming swimmers.
