Swim
Comments: Rough weather today, very choppy-my time was 5 minutes slower than last year, partly by design (tried to slow down and relax) and partly to the choppy water. I also had to go through a lot of traffic. What would you do differently?: I tried to draft and just couldn't find the right person. I ended up not taking my normal strokes. Next time, if the right draft occurs, I'll take it, othewise I'll just swim my own race. Transition 1
Comments: Racine has a 100 yard run up the beach, which is never fun. What would you do differently?: not much Bike
Comments: Lots of traffic, but it was a good ride. I slowed down a little at the end to make sure I had enough for the run. What would you do differently?: not much Transition 2
Comments: Pretty Good What would you do differently?: not much Run
Comments: While we had great weather, the sun was still hot. I walked the water stops, and the hills on the second loop. I started to get hot, and put Ice in my hat-which worked great. What would you do differently?: More Training Post race
Warm down: Saw the family, ate and got a massage. Then, went out for dinner & Margaritas :) Event comments: Great Race and a PR of 1:06 (1 hour & 6 minutes) from last year!!! Partly due to training and partly due good weather. The swim was rough, but I'll take that over the 100 degree heat index that we had last year! A Big Thank You to all of the Volunteers & fellow Triathletes! Last updated: 2013-07-21 12:00 AM

Racine is close to home, so I got up at 4:30 AM, and had breakfast (3 eggs), and got to the Transition by 6 AM. It was a quick set up, and then I waited until my 7:48 wave.
