Comments: I had everything going correctly, even got my watch ready to go, but forgot to push the start button! About 200-250 meters in, I was doing great, then realized "oh no, I forgot to start the watch". So I started the watch and spent probably 100 meters of "Recovering". What would you do differently?: not care about the time Transition 1
Comments: I was worried that the path to transition through the same grass where I got stickerburs before the race would be a problem. But strangely I did not get any stickerburs. What would you do differently?: run a little faster. Bike
Comments: Burnet county had decided to add loose gravel to the shoulders on top of chipseal. Soon as we got to Llano County, it was just chipseal and strangely I was glad. What would you do differently?: I don't know how I could have performed any better given road conditions Transition 2
Run
Comments: This run is always brutal mentally, and I didn't see anybody around me that I needed to chase, so I didn't. What would you do differently?: hopefully get more sleep the night before so I'm not worn out by the time I get on the run Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: losing focus during the swim, crappy shoulder surface on about 1/3 of the bike, being too tired to run faster. Event comments: I think Mario must have had a group of volunteers not show up, he was distracted and we probably could have used a few more volunteers.
