Swim
Comments: Time was slow but I did feel good about my sighting and navigation. Felt comfortable and strong in the water. Again, time was slow but I think that has more to do with not spending as much time in the pool as usual. What would you do differently?: Need to get in the pool more often. Maybe look at doing more interval training to work on speed. Transition 1
Comments: Forgot my tri top so I had to mess with getting a bike shirt on. Cost me some time. What would you do differently?: Not forget the tri top. Bike
Comments: Felt really good on the bike and am happy with my performance. Not sure if the course was a little longer this year. Felt like I did really well here but only shaved a little bit off a previous year's time. I noticed some of the other faster athletes had slower times on the bike this year. It was a little wet but nothing that would have slowed people down that much. Again, not sure if they changed the course. What would you do differently?: Continue training. Transition 2
Comments: Happy with T2. Run
Comments: Felt good on the run. It was overcast and cool so did not have to deal with overheating. What would you do differently?: Nothing much. Keep training. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, ate pizza and bananas. What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim. Sighting was good but pace was too slow. Need to prime the engine a little more to find that extra gear. Event comments: This is always a fun race. Will do it again and would recommend it. Last updated: 2013-08-09 12:00 AM
