Swim
Comments: I felt like I could have swam all day. I did swim into a few people, but that was to be expected. What would you do differently?: I felt really good about my swim and wouldn't change anything. Transition 1
Comments: I ran past my rack a little ways. My Hammer Perpetuem fell out of the back from of shirt when I was running with my bike. Wet suit got stuck on timing chip on ankle. What would you do differently?: I need to find a tri shirt or suit with a really deep pocket or find a different long distance fuel. Bike
Comments: Not many people following USAT rules on the bike. It was a little crowded but fun. What would you do differently?: Lacked a little bit of fuel, but felt good. Transition 2
Comments: T2 went better than T1 What would you do differently?: Look into getting triathlon shoes-I only have cycling shoes. Run
Comments: It was very hot. I stopped at most aid stations to drink the fluids and then continued my run. There were some small hills, but overall a fun course. What would you do differently?: I need to practice more "brick" workouts for next time and increase my run pace. Post race
Warm down: Walked and got stretched out by the trainers provided by the event. What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my first triathlon and I feel great about finishing. I'll worry about speed next time. Event comments: There was a short amount of time for me to enjoy post race activities because my wave was pretty late and I finished close to the transition closing time. This was my first triathlon ever. I did a little jog and stretching before the swim.
