The long part of the oval at the beginning was into the sunshine which made sighting the buoy hard.

Comments:

This race had wetsuit strippers. These volunteers made this transition a breeze for me, except going down the wrong row. I did eventually find my bike.
What would you do differently?:

There were lots of rows of bikes. I needed to do a better job picking out a landmark.

Comments:

Wicked hot. Under hydrated. My muscles were very cramped and I could keep no fluids or nutrition in me. I ended up walking and running. Very disappointing.

Event comments:

Great volunteers. The finish line was kind of lame in the parking lot of a strip mall. But I liked that they encouraged my kids to cross the finish line with me.
