![]() Swim
Comments: Was a slow start, I should of gone up front for it but it was my first time so I didn't know. Anyways I had to wait a good 50 meters before I could get out and swim cause there were some slow people infront of me. Someone behind me just about ripped my chip off my ankle! What would you do differently?: Start at the front of the wave instead of at the back of the pack. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Don't have a transition time its tacked onto the other times, they didn't separate it. Good transition though, was a little slow cause I wanted to put a shirt and socks on but it all went smoothly. What would you do differently?: not add so many clothes on after swimming. ![]() Bike
Comments: Was a good ride, was never able to catch my breath after the swim though. What would you do differently?: Not get stuck behind a slow chick at the turn around point. It caused a traffic jam. Don't drink so much poweraid, gave me an upset stomach. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Was a good transition, didn't have much to do. Had a little trouble getting the bike on the rack but I got that down now so I don't think it will be a problem in the future. What would you do differently?: nothing. ![]() Run
Comments: Was really hard to get going, couldn't catch my breath. But after 500 m in something clicked and it just started to feel comfortable. What would you do differently?: Buy new shoes! ![]() Post race
Warm down: Stand under shower provided and a little walking around. What limited your ability to perform faster: My lower back and hips seized up again at the end of the run. Gotta get that fixed and need to buy new shoes. Event comments: Great race for a first time. The course was nice and flat and not intimidating. As well the shorter event is on a saturday whereas the pros come out on the sunday so us newbies had the day to ourselves. Last updated: 2006-07-04 12:00 AM

Got to the site, set up transition, made sure the bike was ready to go, walked around the transition.
Went for a short swim in the lake.
