What limited your ability to perform faster:

My boat skipper did not do his job of navigating me properly so I swan at least 4Km further than needed.

Event comments:

My performance was poor due to a combination of

1. no wind that caused an accumulation of exhaust fumes from 1000 boats to hang over the channel making breathing difficult and reducing visibility to 100m.

2. a skipper who did not do his job of navigating me so my paddler had to attempt to do it.

3. a current going the opposite direction to normal that caught us by surprise so we ended up 2Km south of the entrance to Thomson bay and having to go against the current to get there.
