Comments: I ride this route as a training loop frequently, so nothing unexpected. What would you do differently?: I ran out of gas about mile 20. Need to plan nutrition better. For rides of less than 2 hours I have tended to forego nutrition planning. Tried to eat a clif bar about mile 17, but could not get it down. Now I see the advantage of using gels. Post race
Event comments: Race was well organized. There are no water stations for those doing the 1-lap race (27 miles). The 2 and 3-lap races get 1 water station per lap. Last updated: 2006-07-06 12:00 AM
