Comments:

Used borrowed bike from Slipstream Cycling. It had foot cages which I had never used except for a practice ride the day before the race. I couldn't get my feet in to the cage and then missed the short straight away to gain speed for the first hill.
What would you do differently?:

Start with feet on top the the foot cage and then get into them once moving good

Event comments:

My second ever Triathlon (3 weeks after the first). I borrowed a road bike so I didn't have to use my mountain bike. That and improvement in transition time resulted in a significant improvement in finishing time.
