Swim
Comments: swim was ok, once again lost all swimming form but was more relaxed than last year when i did the sprint. my body sustained a lot of kicks but none to the head. i tickle a few feet & one time my hand land between somebody's thigh. thank god wet suits are worn! What would you do differently?: not much, other than once again try to improve my swimming Transition 1
Comments: really guessing on the t1 time...didn't wear a watch today, wanted to do things as naturally as possible without freaking out about time. distance from water to bikes i would guess about 200 meters. What would you do differently?: nothing....i think this was one of my better transitions Bike
Comments: lost my gatorade bottle right away on the highway & my water bottle was half drunk already...so hydration was not gonna be possible. all i could was sip on the rest of my water & wait till i got to run to rehydrate at the aid stations. road was rough & my front wheel got caught on a groove that made me think that my front wheel was loose. so i pulled over to see if it was...it wasn't. my back became sore & really comptemplating on taking off my aerobars..barely use them & i think when i do, the back gets sore. had a chocolate cherry carboom! to kind of sample before next week's 1/2 ironman...that's good shit! What would you do differently?: Not lose my water bottle!!! for the morden 1/2 plan on using a camelpack instead...do anybody else use this for the bike? Transition 2
Comments: first i put on socks b4 putting on the shoes & didn't like the way the socks felt on the toes...so i took them off. took the last sip of water from my bottle. Run
Comments: loved the run...didn't wear a watch so i was nicely relaxed. had a great run. stopped at every aid station...1 cup to the mouth & 1 cup to the head. What would you do differently?: absolutely nothing. Post race
Warm down: grabbed a muffin, did a little stretching on the legs but not much Event comments: i love doing pinawa, my favourite tri of the few that i do. the bike is not very good because the roads are not great, but the organizers who put this race together i find to be the most friendly, excellent food and they all seem to have a good time. it was decided by smartcicle & myself that this race was to be a training run for us before the morden 1/2 ironman. it wasn't design to kill ourselves in competition.
