What would you do differently?: Wear two pairs of socks. My toes were so cold until about half way through the race. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed fruit, cookies, hot veggie soup and warm wine. The soup and cookies were really good. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. This is where my training says I am at. I was happy with my performance. Event comments: CELTIC SOLSTICE 5 MILER at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, MD. A fun race as always and even better with friends. Staying warm, it was very cold.
Jogged to the start to help muscles warm up.
I usual eat breakfast but somehow forgot. At the race site, I drank some black coffee and ate a few donut holes because I was hungry. I originally opted for a power bar but it was so cold, I couldn't chew it.
