I took the short, easy run to the race site near Sunrise and Ramon, checked-in, put on the Santa suit, and chatted.

Comments:

I went out fast and aimed to settle into the race pace. My strategy was to have my buddy Tim pass me at about 1/3 of the way, and try to keep him in sight to the finish, which pretty much worked. I was a tad slower than I would have liked, in part because I should have taken one more easy day this week, and because I cooled down before the gun.
