Comments: I felt strong during the swim, but was surprised by 8:40 time exiting water... based on my time and others, I think swim distance was slightly longer than 400?! Decided not to wear the wetsuit due to short distance. May have slowed me down, but made up for it in T1 What would you do differently?: Possibly wetsuit? Transition 1
Comments: Very long run from lake to transition area - I was tired! Felt quick overall in T1.... most time was spent putting socks on What would you do differently?: no socks?!? Bike
Comments: Legs felt tired, but pushed hard, despite crappy road surface! Transition 2
Comments: Racked bike in wrong spot - lost a few seconds.... otherwise quick Run
Comments: Run was slow!! 9+ minute mile is not cool.... legs felt OK, but lungs were shot. Didn't get into groove until mile 2 What would you do differently?: run faster! Post race
Warm down: Hugged my boys What limited your ability to perform faster: Legs / lungs were tired.... lack of bricks during training. Event comments: Race was small - only 55 participants.... very few volunteers on streets cheering - only one person on each intersection showing which way to turn.
