Comments:

Cold water, head wind, choppy waves, and poor visibility made this a very challenging swim.
What would you do differently?:

Swim further off shore, the suspended sediment near the shoreline kept shifting with the current, making it hard to swim straight. In the deeper water the sediment wasn't as bad.

I had a strained calf muscle from a few weeks back that hadn't healed. I took the run very easy. It was hard the last 2 miles, because I wasn't tired or sweating, but I knew I could push the speed without further injury.


What would you do differently?:

My hamstrings cramped the first few 100 yards coming off the bicycle. I'll need to build those muscles up better.
