Swim
Comments: Swim felt faster. We started in TT format in pairs of two. I was through the six people ahead of me in the first 25 yards. My timing chip almost fell off at the first turn so I swam with it in my right hand for the last part of the swim. What would you do differently?: Actually go to the pool and swim. That and tighten my strap. Transition 1
Comments: Includes run from lake, still a bit long. What would you do differently?: Practice the flying mount so I am comfortable doing it. Bike
Comments: I had heard that the course was flat so I wasn't prepared for the small rollers at the beginning. Overall a good bike course. What would you do differently?: Train..... Transition 2
Comments: Good T2 Run
Comments: This was the worst 5k time I have posted in a couple of years. Very disappointed with this run. What would you do differently?: Train, hit the track more. Post race
Warm down: Hung around the finish line and cheered on my NAMC people and other athletes that I am friends with. What limited your ability to perform faster: The fact that my son is 5 weeks old and I haven't trained to amount to anything lately. I suppose that for the effort it was a good race although not something I am particularly pround of. Event comments: Love this race, will be back in years to come. Last updated: 2006-07-14 12:00 AM

Woke up at the ungodly hour of 3:45 am to drive down to PTC. I had never actually been there so I had no idea how long the drive would take. I was supposed to go and pick up Courtney before the race until she came up lame and decided to stay home. Needless to say I was really, really early!
Swam a little in the lake.
