Pre-race routine:

Slept with the boy downstairs. A decent night's sleep. Up and ate a pb sandwich. A little too heavy. Then drove downtown. Waited calmly in the car until quarter of. Ate a GU gel walking up. Jogged back to the car after the race was delayed for my sunglasses.
Event warmup:

Jogged to the start finish line and my car twice. Light stretching.

Comments:

Felt like I went out too fast. Amazed that I ran a negative split. I actually had a bit more at the end. 31 seconds off my PR to start 2014. AMAZING!
What would you do differently?:

I only did 19 miles training. What if it was a normal winter and I could get out more. So looking forward to the next two.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked and drank water on my way to the car. Another gel post race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

A bit more training, but hell, could I have gone faster today?

Event comments:

This is a run worth doing for the scenery alone.
