Comments:

Great run - very little walking.
What would you do differently?:

I'd not walk at all - again I started out with my trusty run/walk ratio which I abandoned by mile 2. I'd hit my Garmin at the 10K point so it would record a PR because this race was longer than 10K...not hugely..but enough for me to miss the PR!
Post race
Warm down:

Walking and static stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Trying to keep to a run/walk ratio. I think that's a great thing but I'm going to be more flexible in the future and go with how I feel and take breaks when I feel I need them rather on a predetermined schedule.

Event comments:

I really enjoyed this race. This IS my bucket list race distance of 10K. I couldn't have chosen a better one.

The weather cooperated and the race premium was a great UA zip jacket. Love it! Post race food was fine - good choices for a vegan which was a vegetable wrap, pretzel's, and a banana. That works for me. Not huge quantity but then I don't want that. The food was easy to get too without a real big line. The run itself was well planned and organized and I got to see a lot of Baltimore and realized how much I like being in that city.

I don't like beer and I don't eat tavern type food - so I didn't do post race activities that involved that - but it looked like everyone was having a great time.

The only negative was due to a choice I made. So they recommended parking at the Inner Harbor and taking the Charm City Circulator to the race. So I did. What I didn't plan on was that the CCC would not be able to operate on the closed and blocked off roads for the trip BACK to the car. In the end I just walked back but that was a mile or maybe 2. Not sure as I didn't record it. It was a beautiful day and I stopped and took pictures at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co and the Inner Harbor so it was worth it..but I was very wiped at the end. If not for the distance issue I'd of given it a 5.

Performance: Good
Race was 6.36 miles according to my Garmin. Not sure what was up with that - but I would have PR'd if the race had been actual 10K length!
Course: Great course! Did have rolling hills but we went through the Inner Harbor which was just a great place to run. It was the most beautiful day out - and picture perfect race conditions
