Comments: Plan for this run was to keep the HR under 175 and run my own race. The last 2 races I blew up on the first run and suffered the rest of the race. The heart rate did creep up a little bit but I backed off each time it did. What would you do differently?: nothing at all followed my plan perfectly Transition 1
Comments: Had a little trouble with this transition. Decided to use the camelback this time no water bottles to drop :) Had trouble mounting the garmin on the handlebars so just left it on my wrist. Lost about 20 seconds because I forgot to put on my gloves. What would you do differently?: bring my gloves with me on the run and put them on on the way to the bike. Find a better way to mount my garmin on the bike. Bike
Comments: I'm geting to really enjoy the bike now :) I passed quite a few people and was only passed by about 3 or 4. Even though a lot of them ended up passing me on the run :( calfs did cramp a little about half way through. What would you do differently?: nothing really Transition 2
Comments: everything went smooth switched shoes, took a quick drink, grabbed my fuel belt and took off. I did forget my hat though :( What would you do differently?: Not forget my hat Run
Comments: Felt really strong coming off the bike, those last couple of bricks I did really helped. Ran the entire distance this time and actually passed 3 people :) New PR for 3 mile run What would you do differently?: Nothing at all Post race
Warm down: Ate a clif bar drank a couple bottles of water and watched the rest of the finsihers come in. What limited your ability to perform faster: My weight, not enough time on the bike. Event comments: Took 5 minutes off my personal best :) based on my ability I think I ran a perfect race. There was a guy there who has finished 383 tri's! Wow! Last updated: 2006-07-15 12:00 AM

Got up around 5 am, packed up car, ate a bannana and granola bar for breakfast and drove to race site.
Jogged a few minutes and stretched a little. should have hopped on the bike but didn't.
