Swim
Comments: I had a great swim!! I decided to be aggressive and started out at the front (blame Fromie for getting me all psyched up :)) It worked out well. I swam over a few people nicely and didn't interrupt them. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Well, I had the best run out with the bike in my RUNNING SHOES. I did a good job at running out of the water and having my wetsuit mostly off by the time I hit the bike rack What would you do differently?: Get a brain that remembers all tri gear for races! Bike
Comments: Having no bike shoes had me completely distracted from proper gearing and looking ahead to see what was coming up. I did OK considering my feet came off the pedals with major bumps and railroad tracks. Thank God I have LOOK pedals!!! I was glad when the bike leg was OVER!! Transition 2
Comments: Ha!! My running shoes were ON all right!! That was the fastest T2 on record for me :) Run
Comments: I felt like I wasn't running fast at all but I passed people and generally did well. One girl told me after that I smoked her on the run :) What would you do differently?: Nothing...I guess track workouts are paying off! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: NO BIKE SHOES!! Event comments: I wish they had Gatorade on the run course. All in all, I had a hoot and a great weekend up in Peterbourough Last updated: 2006-07-17 12:00 AM

Ate a power bar and a banana. Helped my friend JC pack up the car. We got laughing pretty good for 6am on a Sunday.
Was glad to see that the bike racks were organized into age groups :)
Went for a quick run. Came back to organize my stuff and realized that I HAD NO BIKE SHOES!!
ACK!!
Ran to JC in a panic...he got worried that he left them sitting on the grass at his place when we re-packed my car. I called my husband who found them under a jacket I left behind at home...too hot to bring it, you know!! Home was 2 hours away from the race site.
