Run
Comments: "Fast not hard" for first 8 miles. Effort through mile 10 required focus, but stayed loose and drafted people into the wind (and carried a bunch - at one point, there were half a dozen runners in an echelon right formation behind me!). Then went for it and had a hammerfest/sufferfest for last 5k - no one was drafting then and I must have passed 100 people during that section. FAST field. Was awesome to see and fun to run with this crowd! What would you do differently?: Not much. The fast run downhill for the last half mile I think took more out of my legs than the first 12.6, but all good. Post race
Warm down: Waited for Kim to cross and cheer her (got cold quickly!). Chowder and a fish sandwich - New England's winter equivalent of Poutine for those reading this far, after changing and before going in search of beer (found a nice double IPA - Opa Opa A-10 Warthog). Came home and hung with kids and Grammy and had another beer (or two). Great day. Event comments: Great race, well organized and supported. Superb fan support along WHOLE course. Both the Better Half and I PR'd. Great day! Last updated: 2014-03-14 12:00 AM

Toast/coffee, etc. Fair amount of freakin' out about what to wear for the cold/wind. Gathered stuff and then the Better Half and I drove on down. Parked on the street RIGHT THERE - in the midst of the start, the portopotty area and the YMCA (numbers and post-race meal). Best. Parking. Spot. Ever.
Hit the port-o-potties, ran up the hill, ran down the hill to the port-o-johns again - then ran back up to the start. Prolly 0.75 miles. Waited for the gun and the fun!
