Swim
  • 06m 15s
  • 300 meters
  • 02m 05s / 100 meters
Comments:

Swim time includes T1 time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing the swim was great. My best event of the three.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

T1 timing included in swim timing.
What would you do differently?:

I would used a mat to layout my gear and cover it with a tarp or put it all in a small bin. It was raining and gear got pretty wet.
Bike
  • 28m 3s
  • 10 kms
  • 21.39 km/hr
Comments:

Bike felt good. Was a bit slower than expected but the time includes the T2 timing.
What would you do differently?:

Would love to do it on a faster bike. My mountian bike is pretty good on the mountian but not so fast on the road.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

Time included with the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Rack my bike facing me vs. away from me. I think it would be easier to get it out and back in.
Run
  • 20m 22s
  • 2.5 kms
  • 08m 09s  min/km
Comments:

The run is my worst event. I completed a run/walk and finished in a good time for me. 20 min is better than any training run I have completed.
What would you do differently?:

Foot transplant? Is that a thing? In all seriousness plantar fasciitis did prevent me from training the way I wanted to. It is getting better and the next race will be better!
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around with my kids while they ogle my finisher medal! Then off for a nice burger, and some ice for my foot.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Primary would be foot injury during training (Plantar Fasciitis). Secondary just time training. Third perhaps equiptment. i like my mountian bike but...

This was my first race and I think I am hooked so it will get better.

Event comments:

I have to rate the race a 5 because it is the only one I have been in and I have nothing bad to say about it. The facility was nice, lots of people to help out, ran on time, post race snacks so yeah it was great.
