Comments: developed a shin splint and a tight calf. hamstring tightened up towards the end. What would you do differently?: nothing. Post race
Warm down: took a massage. had them work on the hamstring and stretch it out. felt good afterwards. had some pizza a coke and lots of water. waited around for friends doing the 70.3 distance. What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training. i had doe a few ultra marathons a few weeks before and had not really trained for this event. Event comments: great event for a sprint. woke up. had bullet proof coffee. packed the bike and transition bags and headed to race site.
stretching, running for 1/4-1/2 mile. had a gel 20 minutes prior to swim start.
