Pre-race routine:

Got up early to eat--the usual: banana and half bagel with peanut butter. Rolled my IT band, stretched, that was about it.

Some stretching, two trips to porta potty :-)

Comments:

This is the first time I ran keeping an eye on my heart rate. I stayed in the upper Z2 for most of the race, occasionally creeping up into Z3. I felt like I ran well, I was gassed at the end, knew I had pushed hard.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe stayed in lower Z2 a bit longer to see if I had any more left to push at the end
Post race
Warm down:

Walked to hotel, jumped in car and drove the 90 minutes home to watch my daughter's fastpitch softball games (they won both!)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Genetics :)

Great new course, would definitely do it again!
