Pre-race routine:

Wife is out after knee surgery so quick drive to the race then back home as quick as possible.

Kinvara 4 shoes for the first time. Seemed to work well. Zoot ultra shorts, tech top with cotton race t-shirt overtop.

Comments:

Training for the 50km race in a month, but mileage always helps. Best placement ever for this race, if not best time.

Went straight back to the parking lot to get home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much speed work just volume for the ultra.

Event comments:

Try and do this every year - it's one of the biggest races in the city.
