Bike
Comments: supposed to be a 100 mile ride. but at 11:30 they shut down "Hells Gate" which diverts the 100 mile riders to a 75 mile route. This is done at the directors discretion based on course conditions. With the teperatures the way they were it was probably the right call. Rode with Andy and Seb most of the way. Good to be in BT company. What would you do differently?: start at the front of the line. did not get to really go until about 35min after the cannon went off. Post race
Warm down: get hosed down with the fire hose What limited your ability to perform faster: heat and the desire to stay hydrated and fueled. to make "Hells Gate" I heard that you pretty well had to roll through all the rest stops. Event comments: This is a great event. This years weather cause the organizers to cut it short for some, but it was probably best. Last updated: 2006-07-24 12:00 AM
