Pre-race routine:

Normal routine. Up at 4:30 banana, some juice.
Event warmup:

Made sure the bike was in the right gear and headed down to the swim. In the water start so I did a little freestype to warm up

Really want to improve my speed.

About 400 yards from the water to transition. Did a good job running there

Nothing. I had trimmed a few inches of the legs on the wetsuit and it came off really fast.

One big mistake. I forgot to take my bike shoes out of the bag and put them on the towel. Took me about an extra 2o seconds to get them out.

Get my bkie shoes ready.

Felt goo getting off the bike and into the run. Legs were really tired by mile 5.

Get some longer runs in during training.

Walked out the the road to watch Liz come in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My swim leg. I really need to get some coaching on my swim

Event comments:

There was a young kid flagging the right turn into the park from Greesprings Road, he was not doing a good job getting people to make the hard right. Several people in front of me oveshot the turn.
