Comments: I survived is best way to put it. First swim in ocean, very happy I made it through, dozens did not make it because of conditions. What would you do differently?: Swim more with arms, less legs. Do not warm up then freeze for an hour waiting for start. Warm up in line. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: I may wait to take wet suite off until at my bike. Bucket of water to clean feet. Bike
Comments: The swim and cold adversly effected my performance on bike. I was much slower than normal and did not ever feel strong. What would you do differently?: Eating was major issue, I boinked. I will have peanut butter and banana handy next time. Transition 2
Comments: Position of bike from enterence drove up time, maybe run bike in. What would you do differently?: change socks Run
Comments: Hardest run I can ever remember nothing worked physically. The eating, not enough fluids and swim exhauston killed me. Worst time by 3 minutes I have had on 5 k in 6 months. What would you do differently?: everything I did built to poor run. I will train differently, longer runs, more bricks, strength legs and core. Post race
