Comments: Loved this run. I ran a Full Marathon one week prior. Weather was perfect. Course was perfect, but if I had trained for the Half instead of the Full, I think my training would have also been perfect. What would you do differently?: If I was looking to PR on this course, maybe I wouldnt do a FM the week before. Sleeveless shirt also felt long and drenched by the end. Considering a smaller (shorter) size. Maybe shorter shorts? I sweat a lot. And this was a cool day. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Did some stairs. What limited your ability to perform faster: Didnt exactly taper for HM. Event comments: Excellent medals, shirts, good food, great organization. I have gone to HM events that were a better value for the food and cost. Porta pottys and water were very easy to find on the course. I loved the course timing clocks. But the 5K started about 10 minutes sooner, so it was easy to think you were running 10 minutes behind, at least for a moment. Last updated: 2014-06-04 12:00 AM

Went to bed by 11pm. Got woken by son at 6:25am. Drank water. Used bathroom. Drove to packet pickup. Used porta potty.
Got out of car, back muscle hurt. Saw a free chair massage and got one. No stretching. Attempted high knees briefly before massage and it hurt. Into corral with 2 minutes to spare.
