Run
Comments: Awesome run for me!! My sister was saying she would probably be at 8:00 miles and we kinda thought I would take off after mile 2 - UMMMM yeah, she kept pushing the pace and instead of me sticking to my plan, I stuck to her heels :) I didn't sprint as well on the last 5k, but overall I was 4' faster than planned and 14' faster than my last 1/2 mary!! HOLY SH!T!!! What would you do differently?: Nada - maybe drink more water before the start of the race. With the SE I was a little gassy and I think it could have been curbed with more water or Amino Vital. Post race
Warm down: jogged a bit, then caught up with the fam and chased the kids a bit. Walked about a mile to the BAR for lunch and beer and the Pats Game :) What limited your ability to perform faster: nada Event comments: For having about 10-12 THOUSAND entrants, this was well run, perfectly organized, well marked, and great!! And they had Amino Vital on course, which is going to become one of my favorite drinks!! I still can't believe I was this fast, especially considering I think I could go faster... 1:35 next year??? Stayed at a hotel with Chris and my Sister Anne. Got up and ate a PBJ , Banana and some SE. Then got dressed and headed for the race start. Got familiar with the area and used the porta potty, then checked our gear and WU then Potty again... I was a little worried about my need for the potty this morning - turned out fine :)
Jogged about a mile with C and A with some dynamic stretches, strides, and drills. Then tried to stretch the hamstrings a bit to keep stride length.
