Comments:

Don't think I put face in water and swam more than 50' the whole race. Panic?? Freestyle, side stroke, back stroke, doggie paddle...whatever it took. Thank God for the divers with the life vests for rests.
What would you do differently?:

Train more than one week in the pool.

Walked up hills, tried to jog down and flats.
What would you do differently?:

Run more, but really not much to do different. Went fast as I could for conditions. Had not trained much on hills and not at all off road.

HOT!!! Had to find shade and still couldn't quit sweating.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training.

Event comments:

Good race. Would have been better without the gravel on bike course. Will do again next year.
