Comments: Sucked water on 2 consecutive strokes. Managed to cough out the first one under water (I practice that), but took more water when I needed the bigger breath... not good. Side stroke for 2/3, back to freestyle for last 1/3 What would you do differently?: CALM DOWN!! Transition 1

Comments: I pushed the bike hard because the run was going to be bad anyways. I live in farmland... not much hill training available. What would you do differently?: Find some hills... or get a good trainer. Not push so hard. Transition 2

Comments: I knew this was going to be bad. Pushing the bike made it worse. I did manage to run a bit, but there was no gas left in the tank. I'm not sure if nutrition would have helped to be perfectly honest. What would you do differently?: Train, Train, Train, then TRAIN MORE! Post race

Got up nice and early, had a bagel with PB. Spent too much time on the phone with sis-in-law trying to get her to the hotel. Had to haul serious tail to the event.
Brisk walk to make it to transition in time to set up.
