Total Time = 1h 21m 40s
Overall Rank = 46/143
Age Group = M 1-19
Age Group Rank = 4/5
Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4. Ate a cinnamon sugar bagel with gatorade, and then ate a power bar at 5:30.
Event warmup:

No warmup. Just sort of loosened the arms up a bit.
Swim
  • 10m 21s
  • 500 meters
  • 02m 04s / 100 meters
Comments:

Not my best swim by far. Decent start, but I started swimming at a 45 degree from the buoy, so I swam farther than I should have. I was still fairly happy with my time out of the water. Not bad for a first race :)
What would you do differently?:

Freaking learn to swim in a straight line and sight better.
Transition 1
  • 02m 3s
Comments:

Yikes. This was bad. The run from the swim exit to the transition area was kind of far, but I was really slow getting everything together. I ran with my shoes on and clipped in at the dismount.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to get in with shoes already clipped in and ride sock less.
Bike
  • 44m 37s
  • 14.25 miles
  • 19.16 mile/hr
Comments:

I was really happy with this bike leg. The bridge was insane though! On the flat sections I held about 20-22 mph. Really really happy with this.
What would you do differently?:

Not much.
Transition 2
  • 01m 4s
Comments:

I actually clipped out of the bike and ran in with my shoes. Bad decision. I almost took off with my helmet still on my head. I really have to get better at this.
What would you do differently?:

Get feet out of shoes and ride on top of shoes. Just be faster.
Run
  • 23m 33s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 36s  min/mile
Comments:

Ehh, this was alright. The first mile was bad. I felt like I was about to puke. Once I got done with 1.5 miles, I started feeling better, and on the last 1.1 miles I really pushed it and felt great.
What would you do differently?:

Try and ease into the run a little more and consistently get faster, not start off to fast.
Post race
Warm down:

I drank a decent amount of water, and breakfast.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was my first triathlon, so lack of experience, and I just need to get fitter.

Event comments:

Fantastic.
