Swim
Comments: Was bit out of breath as the swim was last , and i was hauling pretty hard on the run and bike before getting into the water A swimmer got in to lane 2 after i had done one lap so that gave me a yardstick to keep pace , after 100 the other swimmer was fading so i knew he would not pass me overall as settled into a faster pace than at the start . Add another 10 seconds to run from the pool to the finish line What would you do differently?: Nada , even pace and picked it up a tad on the last 200 Transition 1
Comments: this was a reverse where we were allowed to ride in and out of the transition area , , hence I rode the bike leg slipped out of the shoes and socks and rode on top of the shoes right into my spot (first rack) unclipped helmet , took off race shirt grabbed goggles and legged it to the pool , goggles were in place by the time i got to the pool so i dove in Lane 1 which was open , sweet !! What would you do differently?: Nada perfect rack so had minimal distance to run to drop my bike and get to the pool Bike
Comments: Hammered it as best i could and did all the flats and downhills in the areobars sliding forward on the nose of the saddle to open up my hips a little , took off glasses for the 2 climbs , and drank small amounts of water frequently What would you do differently?: Nada , went fairly hard and seemd to power up the two hills pretty good , I lot of folks were struggling Transition 2
Comments: this was a reverse where we were allowed to ride in and out of the transition area , , hence I ran in after the 3 mile run dropped running shoes , put on helmet and sunglasses and took off on the bike , my shoes were already clipped in with elastics to keep them level , got up to speed riding on top of the shoes and easily sliped in by 1/4 mile down the road , What would you do differently?: Nada , perfect rack so had minimal distance to run to get my bike and later return bike Run
Comments: started good but it got warm fast , felt like an even effort What would you do differently?: Bring water bottle to pour on my head Post race
Warm down: shower , clean up transition area , get bike back in car and come back for awards What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat on the run , Event comments: Fun local Races , low stress , good bike and run course , loved doing a reverse Tri with a proper swim distance 400 yrds Last updated: 2014-07-13 12:00 AM

Tried to get to sleep early but only got 5 hours , packed the car in the morning with Ben and had a bowl of porridge (oatmeal) , drove 20 mins to race site and got parking 100 ft from transition , Spotted a good rack left bike and picked up race number and tshirt , got body marked and chatted with friends and made some new friends while waiting for race to start ,
Short bits of jogging in and out of transistions , as they were different than last month
Multiple bathroom breaks , Took a gu with 10 mins to go and drank dwom some of the water on my bike t lighten the load , its just 10 miles ride so 2/3 water was enough
